The most common kidney cancer in adults is renal cell carcinoma. It forms in the lining of very small tubes in the kidney and they are usually asymptomatic.Cancers found in the center of the kidney are known as transitional cell carcinoma.

First symptom is blood in the urine (hematuria). In later stage, other symptoms can be pain, weight loss, etc.
In renal cell carcinoma, these symptoms can appear in later stages of the disease, so regular urological examination and ultrasound are important for early renal cell carcinoma detection.
How is the procedure carried out?
In most cases, surgical treatment is performed, during which the kidney with primary tumor is removed (nephrectomy).
Early detected cancer, with adequate surgical treatment, can be successfully and completely cured.
Another type of kidney cancer is called transitional cell cancer (TCC) of the renal pelvis. The renal pelvis is the central area of the kidney where urine collects before it goes down the ureter to the bladder..The treatment of this type of kidney cancer is identical to the treatment for renal cell carcinoma-complete kidney removal together with bladder duct. Early detected cancer, with adequate surgical treatment, can be successfully and completely cured.
