Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia is enlargement of the glandular tissue of the male breast.

This intervention includes removal of adipose and or glandular tissue from the breast. 

During this operation excess skin is often removed semi-circularly around the areola. Liposuction is sometimes used during the operation in order to achieve best results.

How is this procedure carried out?

Gynecomastia  is performed either under local or general anesthesia.

After the operation patients wear medical corsets which reduce sweellng  and help skin retraction. Corsets are usually worn between two to six weeks.

Bruises and swellings are present for one or two weeks after the intervention. 

Patients usually get back to work within seven days after the operation.
