Serbian national football team player Marko Grujić successfully underwent surgery on February 28 at Atlas Hospital in Belgrade. The FC Porto midfielder had an Achilles tendon operation performed by Dr. Dejan Aleksandrić, a specialist in orthopedics and traumatology and the official doctor of the Serbian national team.
Grujić had been struggling with a chronic Achilles injury for some time. After conservative treatments failed to deliver the desired results, surgery became a necessary step. The procedure went smoothly, and the player is now feeling well. According to doctors’ assessments, his return to the field is expected in approximately three to four months. Marko is scheduled to travel back to Portugal on Monday to continue his rehabilitation.
